Production Log 18

We are very happy with how our production process went, we made sure to keep to our shooting script at all times and we did not have to re-film any of our shots, this enabled us to spend longer on our editing and credits. Me and my partner made sure to contribute equal amounts to the production of our film throughout both the planning, filming and editing process. We both felt very strong using iMovie as we had used this software before, but we were both unfamiliar with using LiveType and FinalCut, and so as a team, we helped each other and was soon able to use it with no problems. We worked really well as a team as we both had very similar ideas as to what we would want our film to look like, so there was no difficulty in deciding which idea to go with. 

I think the key strengths of our process was our planning, we had set ourselves certain days to film on, and we stuck to them. Throughout, we were very organised with our time keeping and made sure to film shots we said we would film on each given day with no going over. When it came to filming, we filmed some of our shots a couple of times so that later on in the editing process, we were able to choose the best to use in our film. Another strength was our editing, as we felt quite confident in using iMovie, we managed to edit our film quicker than expected. We were really happy with the music we found as it was a lot different to what we had originally expected, we feel it really creates the appropriate atmosphere and empathy for our main character.

I think an improvement I would make is maybe the credits, this took us a lot longer than expected as when we transferred our original font over to FinalCut, they we no longer clear to read and did not stand out on the film. This lead us to having to change the font another few times until we had found one that we liked.
