This article is about a woman who stole £14,700 from her Aunt, but avoided prison by pretending she was pregnant. She showed fake photographs of a baby claiming it to be hers, then eventually claimed to have had a miscarriage before being found out.
This could fit in with the British Social Realism genre, as the woman could be a struggling Mother, a typical archetype, who is desperate to supply for her kid, this could establish the theme of poverty, which is a very common theme denoted in BSR.
This article is about a boy who was inspired by watching Horror movies to murder two girls in the ways he had watched. This could be an idea for a British Social Realism as it would be interesting to include elements of past horror films with current British Social Realisms. The main character could be denoted as a young boy who's escapism from reality is to watch Horror Films, escapism is a key theme in British Social Realism. The murders would not be denoted as brutal as the ones read, as it still needs to fit the genre of BSR not too much horror.
This is about a pop star who has been taken to court over sex offences against 3 girls aged 12-14. This could be used in my film as it could highlight the key theme of sexual abuse, the guy would not have to be a pop star, he could just be an ordinary character. Sexual abuse is a common issue which could be denoted in a very realistic manner.
